Dreamforce 2018 is fast approaching and here at Arkus we’re ready to go. Agenda Builder is live, and plans are in place. Below are some of the sessions and events we’re looking forward to the most. These are the places where you’ll find Arkies, our clients, and our friends. Come say hello.

Presentations

Watch the dream to speak on the Salesforce stage come true while you learn about the latest ways to innovate with Salesforce.org.

Making the Match. Connecting the Right Resources
Westin St. Francis, California West, Wednesday, September 26th, 8-8:40 am. 

Buck Institute for Education will share their story of how Field Service Lightning transformed their organization in this mainstage presentation. Come learn how they and another world-changing organization are saving valuable time and energy by making sure their resources are always at the right place at the right time.

Buck Institute for Education: Effective Resource Management
Westin St. Francis, Adventurer's Auditorium, Wednesday, September 26th, 4:00 pm

Buck will be back with Arkus project manager Scott Searle to dive in deeper to their implementation of Field Service Lightning. Learn how this upgrade along with the continued use of Conga Composer is now saving BIE, a service delivery organization, time and energy.

Salesforce.org Education Cloud Keynote
Hilton Union Square, Grand Ballroom B, Tuesday, September 25th, 9:00 am

2017 Trailhead for Students Dreamforce Sweepstakes Winner and now 7x Salesforce Certified Arkus Project Manager, Linda Adams, will share the spotlight on stage in the Salesforce.org Education Cloud Keynote: Trust and Transformation in Higher Ed. This panel discussion that will kick off Dreamforce with education trailblazers, including leaders from the University of Virginia and Dallas County Community College District. This is also an opportunity to see the latest Advisor Link and HEDA product innovations in action.

Fundraisers

There are a number of great ways to do good during Dreamforce this year. Here are some of our favorites and where we’ll be kicking back for a cause.

PepUp Tech Karaoke for a Cause
Pandora Karaoke, 177 Eddy Street, Monday, September 24th, 7:30 pm   

Get your tickets at the link above and come prepared to belt out a tune with your favorite fundraising friends, while supporting PepUp Tech, a nonprofit that helps students from underrepresented groups in tech match with mentors, who help them get the skills and confidence they need to begin careers in the industry.

Amplify Breakfast
Covo SF, Wednesday, September 26th, 8:00 am

This breakfast is full but you can still add your name to the waitlist. Amplify empowers “underrepresented voices in the Salesforce.org ecosystem and those who support them to be fearless leaders in technology.” Arkus is proud to be a silver sponsor of this event and you’ll find most of our team there.

Dungeons and Dreamforce: A Fundraiser for PepUp Tech
Hilton Union Square, Continental on Wednesday, September 26th, 4:00 pm

Another chance to support PepUp Tech happens Wednesday when a group of Salesforce community members plays a game of Dungeons and Dragons for your enjoyment. All donations made to PepUp Tech during the game will affect how the story plays out. Join Arkus Project Manager Sam Safin and the rest of the crew making this game happen as they help make a difference and have fun doing it.

This year we’ve got quite a few Arkies making an appearance at sessions, booths, and even a 5K Run. Lace up your sneakers and join us or just stop by to say hi.

6th Annual Dreamforce 5k Fun Run
Starts at the Embarcadero, Wednesday, September 26th, 6:30 pm.

Join Justin, Jason, Larry, James, and Art from Arkus at this race organized by Maria Belli and Chris Zullo. Join the group on the Trailblazer community for more details and register as spots will sell out or just come on over to cheer.

Dreamforce Career Fair
SF Tower, Thursday, September 27th, 4:00 pm.

Come find the Arkus booth at this career fair. Attendance is limited at this event. If you’ve gotten an official invite and are planning to attend, be sure to stop by and see us.

Join Arkus Project Manager Linda Adams again for one or both of these sessions. The first is geared toward students and recent grads. During this session, Linda and a group of experts will share ways to advance your career in the Salesforce ecosystem. The second is for companies looking to hire those advancing students and other top talent.

Arkus project manager Sam Safin will be volunteering at a number of places around Dreamforce. In addition to being a key player in the DnDf PepUp Tech Fundraiser (above), she’ll be in the Community Kiosk and later in the Admin Meadow talking automation. More on the Admin Meadow below.

If you were at Dreamforce last year you may have spent time in the Admin Meadow. It’s back this year and is the #awesomeadmin home base again. You’ll find Ask the Expert demo stations and booth here, with Arkus Project Manager, Community Bank User Group leader, and dashboard expert Scott Searle manning two of them.
